Do I need a gym pass for my trip?
Soon this page will give you a straight answer based on your destination, trip length, hotel, and how you train — including "your hotel gym is probably fine" when that's the truth.
Until then, the short version:
- Squats, deadlifts, or heavy pressing in your program? Hotel gyms almost never have a rack or platform. You'll want a real gym — a trip pack pays for itself by visit two.
- Classes are your routine? Hotel fitness rooms can't replace a coached session. Look for drop-in studios at your destination.
- Mostly running and general fitness? Your hotel gym — or the city's waterfront — is probably fine. Save the money.
